Reggie Whitten is a successful Oklahoma attorney and founder of FATE. FATE was created to honor the memory of Reggie’s son Brandon, an “all-American” kid and football player who became addicted to prescription drugs and alcohol. Brandon died at age 25 in a motorcycle accident triggered by substance abuse. Whitten travels around the state on behalf of FATE speaking to groups about the hazards of drug and alcohol abuse – telling and re-telling the story of his son’s too-short life and untimely death. Reggie has continued on from his shattering loss of his son to start several other non-profit organizations through the Whitten Newman Foundation. Reggie has been recognized on Treatment Talk as a parent making a difference. To read the article, please click here: http://treatmenttalk.org/9-parents-who-are-making-a-difference/ .
